Storm Open Playoffs with a Win

Last night at Rod Brind’Amour Arena the Campbell River Storm opened their playoff account with a 5-2 victory over the Saanich Braves.

Captain Alex Rosolowsky led the team with a pair of goals including a shorthanded marker. Other goals came from Josh Coblenz, Austin Steger, and Trevor Bottomley.

Late in the second period, with Campbell River comfortably sitting atop a 4-0 lead, Goalie Jake Mullen was knocked out of the game with a hit to the head.

Storm Head Coach, Lee Stone comments on the incident.

The Saanich Brave player involved was assessed a five minute major and a game misconduct.

The win gives Campbell River a 1-0 lead in the North Division Semi-final series. Game two is tonight in Saanich at 7:30 while game three is set for the Brindy on Friday.
