Be More Than A Bystander

For BC Lions football player JR Rose, it hit home when he saw his mom and sister being abused growing up.
So, Rose has been touring the country for the Be More Than a Bystander initiative, and last night at the Thunderbird Hall he spoke about violence against women to Campbell River.
Rose says the response has been great, and  it’s amazing how many people have witnessed abuse first hand and haven’t had the strength to speak up.

Rose says the biggest thing is to speak up. He adds there are different people you can speak up to such as a police officer, or a teacher.
