STORM OPEN SECOND ROUND WITH A WIN

The Campbell River Storm opened the second round of the VIJHL playoffs with a convincing 6-1 win over the visiting Nanaimo Buccaneers Tuesday (last) night.

Colin Blake lead the way with two goals while Austin Steger, Michal Holub (Hall-lub), Keenan Scardina and Alex Rosolowsky added singles.

The Storm dictated play throughout the contest and put a lot of traffic in front of the Buc’s goalie, Alex Orth. Four of the six Campbell River goals were deflections.

Head Coach, Lee Stone, felt that it was a team effort with strong performances across the board…

Jake Mullen picked up the win between the pipes. He is undefeated since coming to Campbell River in a January trade.

The Storm and Buc’s return to action Thursday night at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. A large number of fans are expected to make the trip.
