The Campbell River Storm opened the second round of the VIJHL playoffs with a convincing 6-1 win over the visiting Nanaimo Buccaneers Tuesday (last) night.
Colin Blake lead the way with two goals while Austin Steger, Michal Holub (Hall-lub), Keenan Scardina and Alex Rosolowsky added singles.
The Storm dictated play throughout the contest and put a lot of traffic in front of the Buc’s goalie, Alex Orth. Four of the six Campbell River goals were deflections.

Jake Mullen picked up the win between the pipes. He is undefeated since coming to Campbell River in a January trade.
The Storm and Buc’s return to action Thursday night at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. A large number of fans are expected to make the trip.
