There’s a new medical marijuana dispensary in Powell River and the RCMP say it’s illegal.
Mayor Dave Formosa echoes those thoughts, and says the business needs a proper license to operate.
WeeMedical Dispensary Society set up shop in Powell River earlier this month.
Formosa says the next step forward is to wait for the federal government to make marijuana legal. Until then, the city will not provide a business license to the dispensary.
