BC Commits 1-million dollars to a shoreline restoration

The province is committing over 1-million dollars to a shoreline restoration and protection project in Comox.
The work will help reduce flooding and the on-going foreshore erosion adjacent to the Lazo Road shoreline.
Comox Mayor Paul Ives says this is a winning situation for the entire community.
Ives is hopeful that the work can begin as soon as possible in the summer.
He says funding has also been provided for bike paths to be constructed along the road.
