ICBC is raising awareness on the dangers of high risk driving this month.
High Risk driving, which includes things like speeding, not driving to road conditions, and failing to yield, are all behaviors that increase the chances of being in a crash.
ICBC spokesperson Caroline Robinson says the goal of the awareness month is to remind people to take it easy behind the wheel.
Robinson says that on average in BC, when it comes to speed related crashes, 94 people are killed annually, and 12 of those are on Vancouver Island.
Robinson says if you’re taking a trip, make sure you’re prepared and try to be respectful of people who are visiting the area.
