Coastal Fire Centre crews are reminding residents to be careful when getting rid of briquettes.
Fire Information Officer Marg Drysdale says they’ve had a number of reports of people dumping briquettes in the woods.
Drysdale says if you need to dispose of briquettes, make sure you put them in a bucket of water and make sure they are thoroughly cold.
