The BC Government is redistributing cost savings back to school districts across the province.
Education Minister Mike Bernier says the government required districts to find administrative savings as part of their budget process. He says school districts have done a fantastic job when it comes to administrative savings.
BC School Trustees Association president Teresa Rezansoff says she’s pleased that local trustees will have flexibility in how to spend those funds. She says that school trustees know students best, as well as the needs of the community.
Through the redistribution, Campbell River School District will receive $255,000.
