Big Rock Boat Ramp Supported

The City of Campbell River is looking for support for the Big Rock boat ramp from the Canada 150 fund.
During last night’s meeting, council agreed that this is a need in the community, especially with events like the fishing derby that went on this past weekend.
Councillor Michelle Babchuk says it’s not an anomaly to see 400 boats on the water especially when the weather is nice and the fishing is good.
Mayor Andy Adams recommended a strong emphasis on the historical relationship of sport and commercial fishing in this community for the Canada 150 application.
