The NDP is calling on the federal government to respond to allegations that senior officials blocked the RCMP from connecting with Interpol Iran.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Alison Azer said that her ex-husband was arrested by authorities in Iran and authorities reached out to Canada.
Member of Parliament, Gord Johns says the allegations against the government are serious.
Johns says the children have now been overseas for more than eleven months.
He says given the allegations, it’s time for the government to be more transparent in what it’s doing to get the kids home.
