Traffic enforcement will be on the rise during city construction.
Constable Sara Clark says RCMP is teaming up with the city workers to do traffic enforcement in areas where traffic control is required in order to do maintenance. Clark says working along the road is very dangerous for city and construction workers – but it’s necessary to help create a beautiful infrastructure residents can be proud of.
Clark says they will be looking for distracted drivers, people not wearing seat-belts, and speeders. She adds their first time out last week, police handed out several tickets.
