The Campbell River Economic Development Corporation is excited to announce that Tourism Campbell River & Region (TCRR) has been chosen to host the Tourism Vancouver Island Annual Conference & AGM at Painter’s Lodge in September 2015. The three day conference typically attracts over 150 delegates and is expected to inject close to $80,000 into the local economy. The Tourism Vancouver Island conference will be open to everyone. Tickets will go on sale in spring 2015.
This is the first time TCRR will host the tourism industry focused conference, which provides tourism professionals, businesses, suppliers, educators, and government with a wealth of professional development and local tourism industry familiarization opportunities. The conference will also showcase local businesses that will be given the opportunity to get involved with the planning committee.
“TCRR teamed up with local business leaders to submit our conference bid in the spring of 2013 and is now busy planning next fall’s event,” says Teresa Davis, Manager of TCRR.
