Two people face charges after fleeing a traffic stop and hitting an officer

Two people are facing numerous charges after fleeing a traffic stop and hitting an officer.

Campbell River constable Jackelynn Biller says police officers set up a traffic stop on Cedar Street, but the suspects drove away, striking the officer.

She says the vehicle was later found at a nearby apartment building.

Biller says police also seized more than 47-thousand dollars and a large amount of drugs.
