The John Hart Generating Station Project is welcoming students from School District 72 this month.
BC Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson says this is the third year of the partnership with the district to allow students to come learn about the project.
He says they’ve had great success with it so far, and he believes it’s important to get students involved in learning about electricity, flood risk management, and fish issues.
Watson says around five classes will come out this month to see the interpretive centre, the penstocks, and Elk Falls in Campbell River.
