Campbell River firefighters are hoping to catch the attention of the community and raise awareness of breast cancer this month by wearing pink.
Deputy Chief Thomas Doherty says they hope to raise awareness on things people can do to lessen the chance of cancer in their lives.
Doherty says with one in eight women diagnosed each year, over 246,000 new cases of breast cancer will be reported in 2016. For more information on how you can get involved, contact Campbell River Fire Rescue.
