Public school start up a success despite lost weeks

Local public school kids have got their thinking caps back on as school ramps up for another year.
School District 72 Superintendent Tom Longridge says he thinks this school start up is going really well.

Longridge says a few classes are still getting settled and some kindergarten children are still going through a staggered entry.

He adds students will be out three weeks of schooling as the Ministry of Education has announced there will be no extension to this school year, but Longridge says there are some adjustments being made.

Longridge says this means the loss of time will be spread over the two semesters.
