Last open house for city’s SOCP goes tonight

Campbell River’s Sustainable Official Community Plan is hosting its final open house tonight.

During the past six months, the City hosted four public events to gather community input on early policy directions for the Sustainable Official Community Plan & Zoning Bylaw Review.

Development Services Supervisor for the city Kevin Brooks says if you can’t make the open house, you can head online and see the SOCP draft.

Brooks says they want as many people involved to make sure people have their say in the process, and that residents agree with the goals.

He says the open house begins at 5:00 p.m. tonight at the Maritime Heritage Centre.
