The Grassroots Kind Hearts Society is opening up their hearts for the holidays.
After seeing her nephew end up homeless, Krisandra Rufus created the foundation, which aims to provide nourishment, housing and support for the homeless and struggling people and families in Campbell River.
Rufus says being transparent is the driving force behind the society’s success.
