Campbell River celebrates National Child Day

National Child Day is celebrated country-wide this Sunday.

Today, the City of Campbell River is getting a jump on the celebrations.

An event is being held at the Community Centre, where kids and their families can play, experience different cultures and learn together.

City Recreation Programmer Karen Chappell says the children learn best when they are having fun.

BC Transit is providing free transportation to the event, which goes from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
