Local Firefighters Head South With Donations

A trio of first responders from the area are headed to Mexico to bring a donation of equipment to fire fighters in Puerto Vallarta.

Chris Hounsell, Ryan Thorburn, and Patrick Lewis left Wednesday on their trip south.

Hounsell says they got the idea after heading down on an trip last year with one of the local rotary clubs.

Hounsell says the community has been very supportive with the group’s fundraising efforts for the trip.

They expect the drive to Mexico will take 5 to 6 days.
