City Contributes Money to Research Value-Added Wood Industry

The city is contributing five thousand dollars to for a research project on the value-added wood industry on Vancouver Island.

The money will go to the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance, which is spearheading the project.

Elle Brovold, Property Services Manager for the city, says the investment will give the city more insight on the industry.

Brovold says investing through V.I.E.A helps find a regional solution, which is less costly had the city undertaken the project on it’s own.
