All three main party leaders are reported safe after shots were fired at Parliament Hill. A Canadian soldier has been confirmed shot at the National War Memorial and has been taken to hospital. It’s not known at this time if there have been more injuries, or whether there is multiple shooters. Parliament Hill and surrounding schools remain under lockdown.
There are reports that at least one shooter is still on the loose. Chateau Laurier is near the East Blocks of Parliament Hill. There are reports of a shooter on the roof of the Parliament building. The Centre and East Blocks on the Hill are locked down. The Prime Minister is safe and the MPs are out. There is no official word on if there is one gunman or multiple shooters.Â
