With the new hospital set to open this fall, workers at the old Campbell River hospital are ready to say goodbye.
A party is being thrown next Saturday at the Sportsplex to honour the legacy of the facility.
Medical and Clinical coordinator Susan McCormac says the hospital is a hugely important piece of Campbell River history.
“Not that were not excited about this great big beautiful new hospital that we’re going into, but this is a party that’s just going to be to recognize and say goodbye to all those great things that have happened at the old Campbell River Hospital.”
McCormac notes the event is an opportunity to celebrate the efforts of all workers and the impact it’s had on medicine on the North Island.
