City wins economic development award

The City of Campbell River has been recognized for innovation in marketing.

Economic Development Officer Rose Klukas says the award recognized the city’s investment portal, which collects all the data on Campbell River in one, easy-to-access place.

“That’s really important as we have many investors looking at Campbell River. Many times they look at the Internet before even making a call to the city. Having the data readily accessible is key to successful economic development.”

The award was presented to Klukas at the recent BC Economic Development Association gathering in Victoria.
