The City of Campbell River is reminding residents that Stage One water restrictions are in effect.
Stage one restrictions come into effect every year on May 1st, but with the cold, wet spring this year compliance hasn’t been a big issue.
Water Supervisory Nathalie Viau says with the arrival of the warm weather, it’s important people remember to be mindful of how you use water.
“We’re basically creating a habit on how to use our water. I’ve seen in the last few years that people are starting to be way more aware of their water use.”
Viau says stage one restrictions helps to get people in the habit of conserving water and being water-conscious early in the season.
