BC Ferries is prepping for a busy long weekend.
Spokesperson Deborah Marshall says traffic is expected to start picking up later today.
“We will have [the] full summer schedule in effect for the July long weekend, Canada Day long weekend. So we’ve got extra sailings in place, we have extra staff at the terminals [and] we do expect it to be a busy weekend.”
Marshall says the summer long weekends are the busiest for BC Ferries.
Marshall notes that the promotions for recreational vehicles and some off-peak sailings are still in effect so customers are encouraged to check the ferries websites to see on which sailings those discounts apply.
