BC Hydro is celebrating a big milestone at the John Hart Generating Station.
The last of the underground rock has been removed from the site, a process which took over two years.
Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson states while it was a long and difficult process, he’s looking forward to the next milestone.
“The existing generating station will start to have some of those units go offline and in early 2018, transitioning from the old facility to the new facility.”
“That’s going to be pretty exciting to see,” Watson says.
