Campbell River's new mayor and council sworn in

A swearing in ceremony made it official Tuesday night, Andy Adams is the new Mayor of Campbell River.

Adams along with the six elected city councillors took the Oath of Office before a Provincial Court Judge, then Adams took a few minutes to address the sizable crowd that had come out to watch the inauguration.

Adams took the time to talk about the new city council saying they represent a balanced cross-section of experience, ideologies and perspectives.

 

 

In his inaugural address Adams answered the question, what is the one think you want to accomplish in the next four years? His answer is to develop the city’s water front lot and the end of Roberts Reach Road.

Adams says he wants to create a taskforce that will have a one year mandate to lay out plans for the area.
