Lightning strike forces plane into emergency landing

Passengers got quite the rush when a Pacific Coastal flight was hit by lightning last night.
The plane departed from Comox shortly after 7:00am and was struck about 20 minutes outside of the Vancouver International Airport. 27 passengers and 3 crew members were on board.
An emergency was declared giving the aircraft priority landing from air traffic control. Crews landed the plane safely, and no injuries were reported.
