North Island-Powell River MP endorses Singh

Rachel Blaney wants to see Jagmeet Singh lead the federal NDP. The North Island-Powell River MP is officially endorsing Singh’s leadership bid.

She says the NDP’s next leader must be someone who will draw people to the party, something Singh’s already doing. She calls Singh a “team player” and “consensus-builder” and respects the work he’s done in his life as a human rights lawyer.

Singh says he’s honoured to have Blaney’s support.

Voting for the next leader of the federal NDP got underway Tuesday. Results from the first round of voting will be announced on October 1st.
