The federal government is naming Roderick Haig-Brown a National Historic Person. A Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada plaque will be unveiled this weekend at the Haig-Brown House.
West Vancouver—Sunshine Coast—Sea to Sky Country MP Pam Goldsmith-Jones will be there. She’s making the announcement on behalf of the Minister Responsible for Parks Canada Catherine McKenna.
There’s going to be a commemoration ceremony at the Haig-Brown House in Campbell River on Sunday. The ceremony is part of the annual Fall Festival. It gets underway at 1:00pm.
