BC Government looking for feedback on pot legalization

The province is looking for public input on its role in the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General Mike Farnworth says they’ve launched a process for public consultation that will run through to November 1st.

Besides the public engagement process the government will launch a random telephone survey, talk with local governments, Indigenous organizations and stakeholders from law enforcement, health and other sectors.

Farnworth says the province hopes to have their legislation in place before the feds pass legislation to legalize recreational marijuana next summer.
