RCMP looking for man who approached child

The Campbell River RCMP is investigating a suspicious incident that happened on Merecroft Road.

The RCMP says an adult man approached a young child who was playing in his yard on September 13^th around 4:00pm in the 800 block. The child’s mother intervened and the man left the area on foot heading towards Dogwood Street.

The mother saw the same man walking around Merecroft and Birch on Tuesday and called the police. The man is described as white, in his 50’s, over six feet tall with a slim build, shorter salt and pepper hair, clean shaven and nicely dressed.
