There’s going to be a referendum on electoral reform in British Columbia.
The NDP government introduced legislation today that would allow the referendum before the end of November of next year.
It’s a big part of the Confidence and Supply Agreement the NDP has with the Green Party.
If the referendum passes the government says proportional representation would replace first-past-the-post in time for the 2021 provincial election.
