The Campbell River RCMP is once again warning people about a couple of scams going around the area.
The first involves getting a fake text message from ICBC. The message claims you’re getting your fine refunded from some past traffic violation and all you have to do to claim the money is click the included the link. This will download a program that steals your personal information.
The other involves a phony application for a person immigrating to Canada. If you get any texts or emails like this do not click anything in them and delete them immediately.
