Campbell River council wants derelict vehicles out of the public eye

City council is looking to deal with derelict vehicles and overgrown walkways. At Monday’s meeting amendments to Campbell River’s Public Nuisance Bylaw were given first and second readings.

Those changes would make so that property owners would have to cut back overgrown plants from sidewalks. It would also force people to keep derelict vehicles indoors.

The city says this is in response to complaints it gets about both issues.
