A pilot project to help kids better adjust to kindergarten had good results. That’s the feedback the School District 72 board heard at Tuesday’s meeting.
The project involved allowing kids and their parents to go to the school when the other grades weren’t there as a way for them to get used to the school.
It was based on a similar thing that’s done for middle and secondary school students in Grades 6 and 9.
The project came about after the Ministry of Education asked school districts to come up with ways to make the transition from early learning to kindergarten easier.
