A single storey home has been badly damaged in a fire that started on the roof Sunday evening just after 7 p.m.
Campbell River Fire Chief Ian Baikie says the elderly woman living in the house on Fawn Rd. was able to get out unharmed.
As for the cause of the fire.
Baikie says the damage to the house is extensive.
Baikie says the investigation into the cause of the fire will continue Monday.
