Firefighters responded to an interesting call this weekend.
Along with police, crews attended a car on fire near the water’s edge below the vacant Empty Nest Motel on the Island Highway.
The incident occurred at around 2 AM on Saturday.
The vehicle appeared to be abandoned and crews put the fire out quickly.
Fortunately, the fire did not spread to neighbouring buildings and dry grass.
