After fighting words from the Federal New Democratic Party leader, Thomas Mulcair, on his record North Island MP John Duncan is biting back.
Muclair accused Duncan of not caring for the people of the area, on a weekend visit to the region.
Duncan says he is taking everything Mulcair has said with a huge grain of salt.
Duncan says the NDP are desperate to reset the table, and that Mulcair’s comments are all part of early election campaigning.
Duncan says with the election coming in October 2015 we can expect to see silly season starting up in some comments from national leadership. He adds “… the party with issues and the leader with issues is the NDP under Thomas Mulcair.”
