On Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 2:06 pm, Campbell River RCMP officers were on Dogwood Street attempting to arrest a robbery suspect when the male fled on foot. One of the officers gave chase and caught the male in the front of Carihi Secondary School at 350 Dogwood Street. Both the suspect and the officer sustained minor injuries in the scuffle.
A 34 year old Campbell River man is currently in custody at the Campbell River RCMP Detachment facing several criminal code charges.
