Campbell River seniors' center opening

The new Campbell River seniors center is now officially open.

The Seniors’ Center Society president and build committee chair along with Mayor Andy Adams and city council were on hand to cut a ribbon Wednesday afternoon.

The center is inside the Common Mall and the society have a 4 year lease on the space. It is over 7 thousand square feet, and there is space for meals and games, a reading or quiet area and an activity room.

Over the past few months the space has been renovated and the work was funded by the Society and it included demolition, interior finishings, the installation of a kitchen, upgrades to the electrical system and a new sign.
