We could see some snow and possibly some freezing rain today.
A special weather statement from Environment Canada says precipitation from a Pacific low and front is going to mix with Arctic air from the mainland. That means higher elevation areas down the east coast of Vancouver Island, from Campbell River to Duncan, could get up to 10 cm of the white stuff.
Environment Canada says there is a slight risk of freezing rain into this evening. The agency is keeping an eye on things and will issue more updates as needed. In the meantime if you’re out and about today you should be prepared for any sudden changes in the weather conditions.
