Part of the Canyon View Trail is going to be shut down for a few days over the next few weeks. BC Hydro says the first day it’ll be closed will be next Thursday. After that it’ll be closed on January 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 31st, and Feb. 1st.
The closure is to accommodate construction work for the John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project. New cables are being installed.
Only the trail loop will be shut down, but you’ll still be able to walk along either side of the river. BC Hydro says there may be more trail closures in the future but the utility will let people know ahead of time.
