Drug trafficking charges for pair of men arrested in Campbell River

A 33-year-old Campbell River man is facing drug trafficking charges.

The RCMP says officers pulled a vehicle over on Wednesday and arrested two men as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers found more evidence during the stop and then searched a rental unit near Campbell River.

They seized a total of 215 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, more than $1850 in cash, a replica gun, a couple marine flare guns, a prohibited spring loaded knife and a large number of suspected stolen electronics.

The other man arrested was an 18-year-old from Surrey. The RCMP says the investigation would not have been possible without members of the public calling in suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
