Power has been restored to Campbell River and Quadra Island.
BC Hydro spokesperson Karla Louwers says power came on and off a few times this morning. Louwers says the outages affected roughly 19,000 customers.
During the outages BC Hydro’s website said there was “transmission circuit failure” but Louwers says crews are still working on figuring out the root cause of that failure.
She’s thanking everyone in Campbell River and on Quadra Island for their patience during the outages.
