Registration for the fifth annual Vancouver Island Fibre Fest starts today.
The art festival typically attracts hundreds of people to Campbell River, with last year’s event bringing in about 600 from all over B.C., Alberta and Washington. The city says it’s expecting similar numbers this year.
Held the first weekend of May Fibre Fest features a variety of things like spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, quilting, and embroidery.
Vancouver Island Fibre Fest is also a fundraiser for the City of Campbell River’s specialized recreation programs. You can register for the workshops in person at the Community Centre or the Sportsplex or online at the city’s website.
