Ministry to hold open house before gypsy moth spraying

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The Ministry of Forests has unveiled its plan for public engagement before spraying for gypsy moths in Campbell River.

Mayor Andy Adams and council got notification last month that spraying would be happening around Rockland Road and South Alder Street in the spring.

On top of that the ministry will be holding a public open house in April and will be putting out the word to the media and affected residents on exactly where and when that will be happening in March.

The ministry’s website and 24-hour information phone line are also available. Residents in that neighbourhood will be given notification one day before spraying starts and immediately before spray crews enter property.
