Second Indigenous Voices presentation coming to Campbell River

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C-Indigenous Voices is coming back to the Campbell River library.

This time Laich-kwil-tach Elder Carol Bear will be sharing her family history and answering questions.

Bear sings and drums, makes doll-size button blankets and native peg dolls, performs storytelling, studies and paints rocks, and makes drumsticks among other passions and interests.

This is the second Indigenous Voices stop in the city. Vancouver Island Regional Library says Indigenous Voices is part of its efforts to facilitate reconciliation by having Elders share stories and skills related to Indigenous culture and experiences.

Bear will be at the Campbell River Library next Tuesday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. You can find more details about Indigenous Voices at the VIRL website.
