CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The School District 72 board has adopted its “guiding principles” for the upcoming 2018/2019 budget process. They were passed at last week’s meeting.
The board says they’re meant to ensure the best education and financial decisions for the students.
The long list of principles includes making sure the budget process is respectful, open, and consultative, that it reflects the district’s Strategic Plan and priorities, and that it takes in account fairness and equality.
The school board expects to start the budget process in early April and pass the final version no earlier than May 29th.
